Casa Corza, belonged to the legendary Cavalcanti and Niccolini families, Florentine nobility and together with the other farm houses on the property, have been recently restored with great care to their original form.
Casa Corza is positioned in a pristine location amid cypresses, olive groves and vineyards, with views that have escaped the passage of time and are reached by unpaved country roads. Their restoration has maintained the original structures of beamed ceilings, open fireplaces and large, airy rooms along with a modern kitchen and bathrooms.
This traditional farm stretches out over two hills covered with vineyards, olive trees and woodland. It is set in the very heart of Chianti near the main road from Florence to Sienna, in this classic Tuscan landscape.
Exterior
The original watch tower dominates the facade of Casa Corza and over the centuries subsequent additions have kept the original character of the house while enlarging it considerably.
The building forms a courtyard with a vine-covered pergola for outside dining. It commands a dramatic view over the vineyards and olive groves, towards the neighbouring hills, where the sheep graze.
Interior
Casa Corza has 6 bedrooms. The bedroom in the tower has been used by the family as a painter's atelier; it is a two storey, galleried space with wonderful light.
There are three bathrooms, two sitting rooms and a large fully equipped kitchen dominated by a walk-in fireplace.
On the ground floor there is a laundry room with washing machine and ironing board.
Outdoor Space
Particularly attractive is the walled patio with a small octagonal plunge pool and a spectacular view towards the villas on the surrounding hills. A big shared pool is available just 300 meters from the House.
