From this beautiful Villa it is possible to enjoy one of the best view of the Val d’Orcia. In fact it sits on a charming hill facing the majestic Mount Amiata (an extinct Volcano) and the marvelous city of Pienza (UNESCO World Heritage Site) easily reachable in a few minutes.
It is completely immersed in the nature and it is surrounded by a woodland, a well kept garden, and also vineyards and olive grove.
From the Villa and from the private swimming pool you can also admire the magnificent views of the nearby farms, little villages and hilltop towns.
The origin of the building dates back to the 9th Century when it was originally built as a watchtower for the pilgrim route down the valley.
The house has been enlarged throughout the centuries and, until the 1950s, hosted several families. After those years the building remained empty for some decades falling into ruin. In 1989 the current owner started a complete reconstruction project with local materials, thus bringing the house back to its former glory.
On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a large working fireplace, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen, a billiard room, 2 bedrooms with private bathroom, a laundry room and a small guest bathroom.
On the first floor we find another inviting sitting room with working fire place, 4 bedrooms with private bathroom and a single bedroom. There is also a small kitchenette.
Outside there is a patio which leads to a study, a small bathroom, a covered structure with a large dining table and 2 ovens.
Access to the panoramic swimming pool is either from the covered patio or from the garden.
