Surrounded by woods and vineyards, 5 minutes by car from the nearest village of Castellina in Chianti, located in a peaceful magnificent context, on a natural terrace that overlooks the Tuscan rolling hills, Cottage Pietra del Chianti is a stone-built rural house recently restored with pool that can sleeps 4 guests.
Cottage Pietra del Chianti, completely restored a few years ago, is placed in a quiet area, surrounded by woods and vineyards, 5 minutes by car from the nearest village of Castellina in Chianti (in the heart of the production region of the best Chianti wine: "Gallo Nero"), 20 minutes from Siena, 40 minutes from Florence, 50 minutes from Florence Airport (Peretola). Next to Villa Pietra del Chianti, it is located in a peaceful magnificent context, on a natural terrace that overlooks the Tuscan rolling hills, between woods, vineyard and olive trees.
There is a swimming pool (6 x 16 m.) shared with the guests of our Villa, next to the houses and a public tennis court at walking distance.
Our guests will taste the production of extra-virgin olive oil and "Vinsanto" wine.
Our Cottage is stone-built rural house recently restored with equipped outdoor area, barbecue, sun terrace, etc.
It sleeps 4 guests with an additional sofabed for a fifth guest. The large dining-room has a big fireplace and a large window which looks out on to the Tuscan hills (with San Gimignano in the distance); there is a little kitchen with simple but modern facilities, a bathroom with shower, two bedrooms with two beds each (one single bed and one double bed), and a large sofa in the passageway to the bedrooms.
Surrounded by an ample furnished lawn, the 6 x 16 meter swimming pool (from 1.20 meter to 2 meter deep) sits near the Villa in a panoramic position with a magnificent view of woods, vineyards and the towers of San Gimignano in the distance. A fresh pinewood and a terrace, covered with oak trees, offer a pleasant repair from the heat.
The pool, buit in 2011, is an infinity edge pool, which produces a visual effect of water extending to the horizon, vanishing, or extending to "infinity". Exposed to the sun all day, it is completed by a rock cascade, which perfectly matches the typical Tuscan rocks of the surrondings. Right next to the swimming pool an external shower, heated by the sun, offers hot and cold water.
The pool is shared by guests of the Villa and of the Cottage and it is open from the end of May to the end of September.
